Fadd Flox Mice

Tech ID: 23250 / UC Case 2013-141-0

Brief Description

FADD is an adapter for the TNF-R family of death recreptors.  The loss of FADD leads to blockage of death receptor apoptosis.  This loss sensitizes the cells to another form of cell death called necroptosis.  These Flox FADD mice are useful fo the generation of tissue specific knockout mice.

Suggested uses

Dendritic and macrophage-specific FADD knockout mice exhibit chronic inflammation.  They may serve as models to enhance the immune system to fight cancer
